Just a few days after New Year’s Eve 2025, Zsolt and Diana reached out to us with a clear goal in mind: they wanted to buy their very own home. After years of renting in their old city, they were ready to move somewhere new — but this time, into a place they could finally call their own.
It took us about a month to officially get started, as a small hiccup on the credit report caused some delays. Diana, however, handled this challenge like a pro — within a few short weeks, she managed to clear the only negative item from her file. That deserves a special round of applause! 😊
Finding the right property wasn’t quick either. Some people find “the one” after just three viewings and move in a few weeks later, but in their case, it took until the end of February to secure the perfect home. That’s perfectly normal, of course — buying a property is a huge decision, and it’s worth taking the time to get it right.
Securing the mortgage, on the other hand, was a real test of perseverance. Because of the earlier credit challenges, we spent countless hours approaching different banks. In total, we tried 18 mortgage products across several lenders — and each time, the answer was no for the same reason. But we didn’t give up. Finally, on the 19th attempt, the fifth bank approved the application. Proof once again that there’s no such thing as impossible — you just need to know where to look. 😊
By the end of April, we had the official mortgage offer in hand, and by mid-August, the keys were finally theirs. That’s actually not bad timing for a summer purchase, when solicitors, lenders, and agents are often away on holiday.
Throughout the process, we exchanged more than 144 emails — and not the short, two-line kind either. Many were detailed, problem-solving messages, reflecting just how complex buying a home can be. But it also shows the level of support and guidance we provide to our clients every step of the way.
In the end, what matters most is the result: Zsolt and Diana are now happily settled into their very own apartment in their new city, ready to start the next chapter of their lives.
