A Journey to the Dream Home – Attila & Viki’s Story

We first spoke with Attila and his lovely partner, Viki, in the summer of 2024. As always, we started by discussing their plans and comparing them to their current situation. It quickly became clear that we could help—they had a well-thought-out, realistic plan, which made our job much easier.

After a short search, they found their dream home, and by early September, they had their mortgage offer in hand. That’s the beauty of having a clear vision—you know exactly what to look for, making the search much more efficient! 😊

But, as in many cases, the buying process didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped. While our team worked efficiently, the sellers and their solicitor were far less responsive. By Christmas, there was still no sign of progress, and it became clear that the purchase wouldn’t be completed in 2024. The issue? Boundary disputes. These had to be resolved before completion, as they could lead to future conflicts with neighbors.

In the meantime, Attila and Viki made use of our free service: if mortgage rates drop between the time an offer is issued and the final key handover, we switch to a cheaper product within the same bank—without any extra fees. This time, we found them a slightly lower rate, but we also pointed out that switching banks could save them even more. However, they wisely decided to stick with their original lender to avoid any further delays.

Finally, in early March 2025, they received the keys to their beautiful new home! 🎉 We hope they create countless happy memories there. Thank you, Attila and Viki, for choosing the Kallo Finance team—we were honored to be part of your journey! 😊
